Type carries the top; the image sits below the standfirst as evidence rather than decoration. The safest of the three across uneven imagery — a missing image costs nothing.
All three carry the full set — featured image, category, author with bio, excerpt as standfirst, body, related items, no comments. They differ in what carries the top of the page, which matters at this volume: a thousand imported posts have wildly uneven image quality, and a layout that depends on a good photograph will look broken on the ones that don’t have one.
