IREHR Speaks at SCLC March & Rally in Kansas City

IREHR’s Leonard Zeskind spoke briefly at a “March on Kansas City for Justice & Peace” on Friday, September 4, 2020.  About 800 people march and rallied at the World War One Memorial. About 15 groups co-sponsored the event, which was led by the local chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Council. A local militia couple eyed the rally from atop the memorial, but no other militia-types were there to counter-demonstrate.

A short excerpt from Zeskind’s talk:

“The white supremacist and white nationalist movement today grows when equality is approaching, and they must be defeated now in order to make any further real gains destroying the racist monster.  My organization recently counted more than 2,000 militia members in Missouri. The Missouri Militia has 17 chapters and the Threeper Militia has more. This is a standing army. … And there is more, much more. And we must stand up now.

Finally, if Trump wins or loses, the white supremacist forces will come back next year stronger than they are now.  …”
