IREHR at Evergreen College Class
On October 25 IREHR Board Member Leah Henry-Tanner and Advisory Board member Chuck Tanner spoke about issues facing Indian country, and on the organized anti-Indian movement, at Evergreen College professor Zoltan Grossman’s class, A People’s Geography of American Empire. About 25 students were in attendance. The discussion covered the rise of the anti-Indian movement in the 1960s and 1970s, its various strategies, and recent activity in the region. Students were engaged and asked multiple questions during and after the event.
